Preview: Cincinnati Bearcats

Cincinnati Bearcats

2012-13: 22-12 (9-9 Big East)
In-conference offense: 0.97 points per possession (11th in Big East)
In-conference defense: 0.98 points allowed per possession (7th in Big East)

There is a look to Cincinnati basketball that seems to transcend time. Regardless of the names on the backs of their jerseys, you can count on Mick Cronin's guys to attack the offensive glass, swarm their opponents with strong, athletic defenders and miss a bunch of jump shots. That was the case last season when Cincinnati finished 14th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency (88.7 points allowed per 100 possessions) and 10th in offensive rebound percentage (38.7), but ended up with just a 46.2 effective field-goal percentage.
