Oklahoma Sooners

2013-14: 23-10 (12-6)
In-conference offense: 1.12 points per possession (2nd)
In-conference defense: 1.05 points allowed per possession (5th)
The Sooners went small and fast last season, finishing the season ranked 17th in the land in adjusted tempo, easily the highest ranking in that category for a Lon Kruger-coached team since he returned from his self-imposed NBA exile in 2004-05. Last season's squad was also dependent on the 3-pointer as much as any Kruger team, taking 40 percent of its shots from beyond the arc in conference play. It's likely that will be the formula again this season as the Sooners return their three-man backcourt of Jordan Woodard, Isaiah Cousins and Buddy Hield.
