Though Boston College just wrapped up a fourth consecutive season that did not yield an NCAA tournament bid, the trend lines are actually headed in a positive direction in Chestnut Hill. For one thing, the Eagles made a significant improvement on offense. In particular, Steve Donahue's team was highly effective at generating trips to the line, ranking No. 1 in ACC play in free throw rate.
