MLB mock draft 3.0

Michael Choice has a ton of raw power. He's also linked to a number of pick possibilities. Getty Images

One more interim update before the final projection appears on Monday morning. Note that the comments here are more about the changes made since my most recent mock from last week, not deeper evaluations.

Washington Nationals

Bryce Harper, C, College of Southern Nevada
No change. Harper's next game is Monday at 2 p.m. MT at the JC World Series in Grand Junction, Colo. SCOUTING VIDEO

Pittsburgh Pirates

James Taillon, RHP, The Woodlands High School (Texas)
A fairly dramatic about-face, if true, as the Pirates have indicated all spring they'd probably eschew high school arms in the first round, as they did last year in passing on lefty Tyler Matzek. SCOUTING VIDEO

Baltimore Orioles

Manny Machado, SS, Brito Private, Miami (Fla.)

If the Pirates take Machado, the O's will take Taillon. SCOUTING VIDEO

Kansas City Royals

Chris Sale, LHP, Florida Gulf Coast University
I heard Thursday evening that the Royals would love for Machado to fall to them, which would preclude the possibility of the Mets landing him. Other than Machado, I haven't heard the Royals on a high school name.

Cleveland Indians

Drew Pomeranz, LHP, Ole Miss If Pomeranz is gone, look for Michael Choice.
