The economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic will have a reverse effect on the transaction game in the 2020 offseason.

While 2020 NBA free agency is expected to be at a slow crawl because of a lack of spending (teams have limited cap space and revenue coming in), the trade market should be active. Despite the transaction moratorium still being in place, teams are having internal dialogues about their rosters for the 2020-21 season.
