If the nascent NBA season didn't have enough bummers already, the Los Angeles Lakers announced Thursday afternoon that Kobe Bryant would miss six weeks due to a fractured lateral tibial plateau in his left knee.
Brutal.
Bryant had just returned from a long offseason rehabbing from a ruptured Achilles tendon in the same leg. Remarkably, Bryant played more than seven minutes against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night with a broken knee and hit a key 3-pointer, which doesn't seem humanly possible. Bryant finished the game with 21 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds.
The injury rocked the NBA world and changed the short-term and long-term outlook for the Lakers franchise. You have questions. We have answers. Let's get to it.
