The NBA season is full of great stories -- surprise teams, improved players and, of course, superstars doing what superstars do. But there is also a darker side to the league, where young players start out poorly and never quite recover. They make the same mistakes over and over again, seemingly unaware that their next contract is far from guaranteed.
Eight first-round picks from the 2010 draft class and six from the 2011 class are already out of the NBA or just hanging on with 10-day deals. And another four first-rounders from the 2012 class will likely be added to the list by the start of next season.
