This is the Offseason Blueprint for the Cincinnati Bengals.
Front-office priorities
What management's to-do list should include this offseason.
1. Head coach Marvin Lewis must ensure that the transition to two new coordinators (Hue Jackson and Paul Guenther) goes smoothly. It wouldn't hurt to have a rough plan in place for who the next two coordinators after them would be as well. If all goes well, it is not out of the realm of possibility that Lewis could lose four coordinators in two years to head-coaching jobs.
2. If this team wants to be a legitimate title contender, Jackson must take the development of QB Andy Dalton to the next level. That means eliminating the wild peaks and valleys that characterize his play. Dalton will be an unrestricted free agent in 2015, so the Bengals need to find out if he is their QB of the future and if an extension is something that is warranted.
3. Cincinnati has the cap room to extend WR A.J. Green right now, and although he has no leverage, management should do the right thing and give its star player an extension.
