This is the Offseason Blueprint for the St. Louis Rams.
Front-office priorities
1. The Rams are still relatively tight against the cap for 2014 and are in the nosebleed section as it relates to projected cash spending relative to the league average, and are in the toughest division in football. The clock is ticking. Urgency will be an offseason theme, but the Rams are also going to get better in the draft.
2. As an organization, the Rams still believe Sam Bradford is a player capable of taking them to the Super Bowl. I am not a believer, and would not be surprised if some in St. Louis feel they should draft a QB just in case, because Kellen Clemens is not the answer and is an unrestricted free agent who is not guaranteed to return.
3. If Bradford is to have any chance at becoming what the Rams hope he can, the offensive line has to be fixed right away. Left tackle Jake Long has not finished a season healthy for three years running now, Scott Wells and Harvey Dahl are likely cap casualties who never gave St. Louis the return on investment as UFA signings, and OG/OT Rodger Saffold is a UFA who has durability issues of his own, having missed 17 games over the past three years.
