Front-office priorities
What management's to-do list should include this offseason
1. Maintain continuity amid coaching changes. There's been some shuffling in Green Bay on the coaching staff, so it's important that this doesn't have a negative effect on the performance of the roster.
2. How do the Packers improve upon their offensive line performance (No. 21 ranking in sacks per pass attempt in 2013)? They have a potential upgrade over pending unrestricted free-agent Evan Dietrich-Smith at center in second-year player JC Tretter, and need to figure out if offensive tackle Derek Sherrod has a long-term future with the team after being ravaged by injuries. With Sherrod and Bryan Bulaga both scheduled to be UFAs in 2015, they need somebody to step up and prove himself worthy of an extension.
3. Wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb are both UFAs in 2015, so expect the Packers to allow James Jones to leave via free agency, while making it a priority to get Nelson signed to an extension first.
