ESPN Fantasy Projection: Freiermuth's 13th-place fantasy campaign as a rookie last season may not seem overly extraordinary, but his 151.7 fantasy points were the 10th-most ever by a first-year tight end. The 2021 second-round pick achieved the feat despite working behind Eric Ebron for a month-and-a-half early on and missing a game-and-a-half due to injury. Freiermuth averaged only 8.2 yards per reception (fourth lowest), but caught 76% of his targets (ninth best) and scored six touchdowns (sixth most). The Steelers' QB situation remains dicey, but Freiermuth was seventh in fantasy points per snap as a rookie and is an obvious candidate for more work and another leap forward in his second season. The 23-year-old is a fringe top-10 fantasy TE.
