Burks suffered the concussion on the Titans' second drive of the game, when he caught a 25-yard pass from Ryan Tannehill for a touchdown in the first quarter. Eagles safety Marcus Epps delivered a hit on Burks, who held on to the ball as he landed in the end zone. Epps was penalized for unnecessary roughness.
"It was a huge play," Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill said after the game. "Obviously he took a big hit there and held onto the ball. The first thing when I saw him in the locker room at halftime, he said 'I wasn't going to let that ball go'. So, it just tells you a lot about the kind of guy he is and the competitor he is."
Burks managed to get up and walk off the field under his own power before being taken into the locker room to be evaluated. It's still early, but Titans coach Mike Vrabel gave an indication Burks is all right.
"I think he's doing OK from what I've seen," Vrabel said. "I wasn't able to see him at halftime or talk to him after the game, but we expect that from challenges because I know what he's capable of. It's unfortunate that he couldn't finish the game."
The Titans also ruled out linebacker David Long Jr. because of a hamstring injury.
