The Kansas City Chiefs are the NFL's last undefeated team this season, yet no one is talking about them going 16-0 or trying to reach Mercury Morris of the 1972 Dolphins for comment.
The usual talk of a 9-0 start has been replaced by questions about if the Chiefs are any good or if they are just a team that's had the great fortune of playing a soft schedule. Kansas City's first nine opponents are currently 30-54 (.357) and none of those teams has a winning record entering Week 11.
Perhaps this summarizes the disrespect of the Chiefs: Denver (8-1) is a 7.5-point favorite in this week's epic AFC West clash.
Now, Denver is really good, but it's not normal to see a 9-0 team be this big of an underdog, especially when it's the only team since 1940 to start 9-0 and never allow more than 17 points in a game.
So does Vegas have a Kansas City bias, or do the numbers back up the feeling that the Chiefs are fool's gold and not a real Super Bowl contender?
