Summer Skate: San Jose Sharks

After falling short in the postseason yet again, the Sharks had a pretty quiet offseason and didn't see the need to make any major additions. GM Doug Wilson seems to be content with his core guys going forward, and that's probably a good thing for 2013-14.

The Sharks have no shortage of excellent veterans -- including Joe Thornton, Dan Boyle and Patrick Marleau -- surrounded by young talents such as Logan Couture and Marc-Edouard Vlasic. The challenge is building solid depth around these players, and it's something the Sharks have struggled with the past few seasons. With depth scoring being a primary concern, San Jose did make a couple of low-key moves to address it.
