LONDON -- Kimiko Date Krumm of Japan will compete at Wimbledon for the first time in 13 years.
The 38-year-old Date Krumm came out of retirement last year. Tournament organizers said Tuesday that she received a wild card.
Her last appearance at Wimbledon was when she reached the semifinals in 1996.
Date Krumm was once ranked No. 4 in the world. She was forced to quit in the first qualifying round for the French Open last month due to a calf injury.
Wimbledon starts June 22.
