Airdrie continued their push for a promotion play-off spot by claiming a 2-0 victory over bottom-club Forfar.
First-half goals from Alan Lithgow and Jim Lister gave the Diamonds a much-needed win as they look to pile pressure on Stranraer who lie five points ahead of Airdrie in fourth place.
The visitors took the lead after 10 minutes when Lithgow climbed highest to head home Nicky Cadden's corner.
Danny Lennon's side stretched their advantage before the break with James Bain teeing up Lister before the latter finished smartly in the Forfar penalty area.
The visitors ended a six-game winless streak while Forfar remain at the foot of the table.
