Netherlands' Georginio Wijnaldum, Memphis Depay team up to put three past North Macedonia

A Georginio Wijnaldum brace ensured that Netherlands finished their Group C campaign with a perfect record, as they beat North Macedonia 3-0 on Monday.

New Barcelona signing Memphis Depay got the first goal of the game but North Macedonia will feel unlucky with an early goal struck off due to the thinnest of offside margins.

Wijnaldum, who completed his move to Paris Saint-Germain at the start of June, got his first goal six minutes into the second half. Assisted by Memphis, he was free to pick up the ball after a strong run and hit it into the net from six yards out.

The two scorers linked up once again for the third goal after Memphis' shot was saved but only as far as the waiting Wijnaldum who put it past Stole Dimitrievski on 58 minutes.

North Macedonia had a second goal ruled offside on 72 minutes when Enis Bardhi tried to put Darko Churlinov through but the latter's goal was chalked off by the assistant referee.
