Manchester City earn 10-0 aggregate win over Burton Albion with Aguero goal

Manchester City just scored the one in their Carabao Cup semifinal second leg against Burton Albion, but it was enough to earn the holders a 10-0 aggregate victory and place in the final for the third time in four seasons.

The visitors effectively confirmed their place in the final after their historic 9-0 victory in the first leg at the Etihad, and this clash was all about pride for the League One side.

Despite his side's huge advantage, Pep Guardiola still fielded Kevin De Bruyne. Riyad Mahrez and Sergio Aguero -- while Phil Foden was given a rare start.

And it was Aguero who opened the scoring on 26 minutes. De Bruyne played a delightful ball through to Mahrez, who knocked it back for the Argentina international to tap home.

Burton had a late chance to score when Will Miller's shot was cleared off the line by City youngster Eric Garcia, but the visitors were thoroughly in control, despite the tight scoreline.

Meanwhile, Guardiola welcomed back Benjamin Mendy for his first match since Nov. 11, when he came on after 63 minutes.

City will now face the winner of Chelsea's clash with Tottenham in the final at Wembley on Feb. 24.
