Sergio Santos scored a goal in the 77th minute to help salvage a 2-2 draw for the Philadelphia Union against host Toronto FC on Wednesday.

Alejandro Bedoya also scored for the Union (13-8-11, 50 points), who could have clinched a playoff berth with a victory. With only two games remaining, the Union are still on track to pick up a postseason spot for the fourth consecutive season.

Two-time Major League Soccer Goalkeeper of the Year Andre Blake remained in Jamaica following the death of his grandmother, according to head coach Jim Curtin. Matt Freese started for the Union, and he made two saves.

Jozy Altidore scored and Toronto FC (6-17-9, 27 points) also was the beneficiary of an own goal.

The Union went ahead 1-0 in the first minute when Bedoya found himself wide open in front of the net and tapped in a pass from Daniel Gazdag.

Toronto FC controlled much of the possession over the next 30 minutes but were unable to generate a goal.

In the 34th minute, Altidore ripped a shot from a difficult angle that landed just over the net.

The Union came out aggressive to open the second half but still held a slim one-goal advantage.

Toronto FC earned a free kick in the 56th minute, and Jonathan Osorio's cross into the box was cleared by Kacper Przybylko.

Przybylko had a solid shot on goal from point-blank range in the 63rd minute, but Toronto FC goalkeeper Quentin Westberg was able to block it out of bounds.

Toronto FC then capitalized in the 66th minute when Altidore equalized with a left-footed shot in the box. It was the second goal in two games for Altidore.

In the 70th minute, Toronto FC moved ahead 2-1 on an own goal as a cross deflected off Philadelphia's Jack Elliott.

The Union tied the game at 2 in the 77th minute when Kai Wagner sent a cross into the box and Santos headed the ball off the post and into the net.
