The UEFA Champions League final is set. Inter Milan overcame their derby rivals AC Milan 1-0 (3-0 in aggregate) at the San Siro to book a spot in the final on Tuesday. The only goal of the match was scored by Lautaro Martinez. A day later, Manchester City scored four goals (which included a Bernardo Silva brace plus goals from Manuel Akanji and Julian Alvarez) against defending champions Real Madrid to make it to the final after winning the tie 5-1.

ESPN's By The Numbers has the best stats from the two matches:

Manchester City vs. Real Madrid

Pep Guardiola has become the third manager to win 100 Champions League matches, after Carlo Ancelotti (107) and Alex Ferguson (102).

Jack Grealish has created 35 chances in this season's Champions League campaign, the most by an English player in a single season (since 2003-04 season).

Kevin De Bruyne has 25 assists in all competitions this season. No other player from Europe's top 5 leagues has more than 19 (Messi and Vinicius).

Vinicius Junior created zero chances in the second leg semifinal against Manchester City.

10 vs. 196

Real Madrid finished the first half with 10 touches in the attacking third. Manchester City had 196.

Manchester City have won 21 matches by at least three goals this season in all competitions. The most by a team from Europe's top five leagues.

The four-goal defeat is tied with Real Madrid's second-heaviest margin of defeat in their European Cup history (4-0 vs Liverpool in 2008-09, 5-1 vs Hamburg in 1980, 5-1 vs Benfica in 1965).

Real Madrid suffered a larger defeat against Milan in the 1989 semifinals (5-0).

Manchester City extended their unbeaten streak in all competitions to 23 games (last loss came on February 5, 1-0 at Tottenham). This is their longest since a 28-game streak in 2020-21 and by far the longest active streak among teams in Europe's top 5 leagues.

Pep Guardiola advances to his fourth European Cup final, tied second most for all time after Carlo Ancelotti. Guardiola won the title in 2009 and 2011 with Barcelona and lost in 2021 with Manchester City.

Inter Milan vs. AC Milan

Inter Milan have reached their sixth European Cup/Champions League final in their history, returning at this stage of the competition for the first time since 2009/10.

Inter Milan are the first side to reach the UEFA Champions League final despite finishing as runners up in their group since both Liverpool and Tottenham did it in 2018-19.

Lautaro Martinez has scored more goals against AC Milan (8) than any other opponent since he joined Inter in 2018.

Martinez has 99 career goals for Inter Milan, 1 away from becoming the 11th player to reach the century mark for the club.

AC Milan's Junior Messias became the 79th Brazilian player to start a Champions League semifinal game. Only Spanish (107) and French (105) players have started more games at this stage of the tournament than Brazilians (Germany also has 79).

AC Milan have failed to score against Inter in four games in a row for the first time in their history.
